How advanced was the pre-Flood civilization?
In Chariots of the Gods?, Erich Von Daniken suggests that Earth was once visited by “little green men.” Attempting to prove this, he points to a few pieces of evidence:
A. a landing strip in Peru, built many centuries ago.
B. long, ancient concrete constructions in Bolivia.
C. drawings of space ships in Mexico.
D. glass-like bits of rocks called “tektites,” in which radioactive aluminum isotopes have been discovered in Lebanon.
E. finds of cut crystal lenses, indicating electro-chemical activity.
F. electric dry batteries found in Baghdad.
G. ornaments of smelted platinum in Peru.
H. parts of a belt made of aluminum in an ancient grave in China.
While one would immediately reject Von Daniken’s unscriptural conclusions, there is nevertheless a remote possibility that the above objects are but faint echoes of a highly sophisticated pre-Flood society.
