A. Perhaps because of man’s trinity. Man consists of spirit, soul, and body (1 Thes 5:23; Heb 4:12).

B. Perhaps God had in mind the future work of Jesus when he took upon himself the body of a man (John 1:14; Phil 2:5–8; 1 Tim 3:16).

C. Perhaps God had in mind the future life of the believer when all Christians shall be like Jesus (Rom 8:29; Phil 3:21; 1 Jn 3:2).
